ORC System preferences for waste heat recovery worldwide have traditionally consisted of turbines with axial or radial shafts and high friction coefficient. General Electric (GE) introduced its innovative patented Clean Cycle TM ORC Turbine. This ORC System, with magnetic effect-supported frictionless turbine shaft technology, revolutionized the production of electricity from waste heat. For the first time, by using only 155 Co water as fluid heat transfer, it made risk-free waste heat recovery possible for facility owners without using hazardous chemicals.
